I do not take any responsibility for errors that occur during operation. It works fine for us, so there is nothing that we can do! - 1.0 OmenView IntroDuction - Here is the first official release of Omenview1.0 .. OMENview is omen's very own ansi viewer with options personalized by the group itself. It has some handy dandy features/and other features added every day making it one of the smallest/easiest to use viewers ever released. Omenview was written by Me, Humdinger, and Lagger over a one month period in approximately 90% Turbo Pascal and 10% assembly. It contains some known bugs which, because of time lim- itations could not be worked out (See FAQ section). If anyone has any questions/comments please feel free to email me at an123456@anon.penet.fi - 2.0 OmenView 1.00 Features - Working with a one month limit did make things kind of hectic but I must say we did get a lot done during that month. Here are a list of Features: -Detects CPU Type and speed -Detects Ansi.SYS loaded -Detects if running under windows (Not Recommended) -Detects DOS Version -Imports sauce description -OmenView.CFG file saves your settings -AutoScroll Toggle -Screen Bounce Toggle -Smooth Scrolling -80x25 / 80x50 screen mode toggle -Can Change Video Modes while viewing a file -Omen Application Generator built-in -Shell-to-Dos Feature -Ability to delete files -Change file mask to list -Nice User Interface/Easy to use -Only 20k in size! - 2.5 OmenView 1.00 Features Explained - Type OMENVIEW in the directory where omenview is located or in the path. I had to really decide where I wanted to put this file, and ended up throwing it in the root directory for 1 reason.. When the config file is in the root you can place omenview in any directory you want, without having to create it again and again. Here is the CFG file explained. line 1 : screen mode 1= 80x25 2= 80x50 line 2 : AutoScroll Toggle ON or OFF (caps only) line 3 : Screen Bounce Toggle ON or OFF (caps only) - 3.0 OmenView 1.00 Problems - Omenview contains a couple of known errors so if you email me please do not tell me these.. All of these problems can and will be fixed for the second release. -Line Limit- Omenview unfortunately only scrolls ansis up to 205 lines. This is because omenview writes the ansi directly to video ram .. and we were having trouble accessing video ram after B800:FFFF . We found a way of flipping pages but, with time not on our side we could not complete it.. Omenview will be able to smooth scroll at least a 800 line ansi by version 2 -Ansi.SYS- On some machines omenview doesn't detect ansi.sys properly. This is ok though because it'll just use internal routines to display ansis. - 4.0 OmenView 1.00 Future - I must say I was very pleased with what turned out of one month of on and off work. Omenview will be continualy updated for as the group is alive. Here are some features which will be in the next version : -800 line scrolling limit (maybe more) -ability to move files -320x200,640x400 screen modes -Alphabetical Toggle -Neat little options that ya can't find anywhere else -File Tagging
